Absorbing English from the Movie 7

 "The Pirate Fairy"
Part 7
  •  It works, it really works : berhasil, benar-benar berhasil (sesuai dengan harapan)
  • And as long as we have the blue dust, we’ll never run out of flying dust : selama kita punyavdebu biru, kita tak akan kehabisan debu terbang (1. Used in conditionals: You can use as long as or so long as to say that one thing is true only if another thing is true. You use a simple form after as long as and so long as. e.g: We were all right as long as we kept quiet. The president need not resign so long as the elections are supervised. 2. Duration: You also use as long as to say that something lasts for a long period of time, or for as much time as possible. I love football and I want to keep playing as long as I can. Be careful! Don’t use “as long as” when you are talking about distances. Don’t say e.g: I followed him as long as the bridge. You say “I followed him as far as the bridge”.
  • Well, then we won’t need you anymore: berarti kita takakan membutuhkan mu (Dalam bahasa Indonesia, again dan anymore memiliki makna yag sama yaitu ‘lagi’. Contoh : Aldo I hear that you come late again this morning. Contoh :Although I still care with you, I do not love you anymore
  • What if we tie her wings together?; bagaimana jika kita ikat sayapnya.
  • We’ve got a ship to fly: kita punya kapal terbang (When we are talking about possession, relationships, illnesses and characteristics of people or things we can use either have or have got. The have got forms are more common in an informal style. Have got has the same meaning as have and both are used as present tenses. Note that have got is NOT the present perfect of get)
  •  Oh, don’t feel foolish : jangan merasa bodoh (memakai “don’t” karena subjeknya you “tersirat”)
  • How I can cook with all that infernal jingle-jangling: bagaimana aku bisa masak kalau berdenting terus. (ketika setelah question word adalah subject itu merupakan statement bukan pertanyaan)
  • Well, not to worry : tak perlu khawatir (selain “don’t worry” kita juga bisa menggunakan “not to worry”)
  • If our new garden fairy didn’t grow branches willy-nilly ! : jika peri taman baru kita (mau tidak mau) tidak menumbuhkan rantingnya (willy-nilly merupakan idiom yang artinya adalah mau tidak mau)

The Example of Recount Text
Study Tour at Malang
Orientation
A week ago, I, the teachers  and the students of SMPIT Nurul Islam went to malang for doing study tour. Our destinations are Jatim Park 1, Jatim Park 2 , Batu Square and Museum Angkut. It is the first time for me going to those places except in Batu Square, I ever  went there when I was 18.
Event 1
Our visit was started from Batu Square and carried on to Jatim Park 2 whose location is in Jl. Oro-oro Ombo No. 9, Batu, East Java. To reach the location is not really difficult from Batu Square because the distance is not far from Jatim Park 2. We really enjoyed there, cause we were able to see animals nearly, saw Museum Satwa, Savannah, Pasar Afrika, Big Aquarium and there are provided many adventure games such as Shark Coaster, Tsunami, Octopus, Safari car, Horse Train and many others.
Event 2
After going to Jatim Park 2 we went to Jatim Park 1. Because we had limited time  so we only visited The Adventure of Bagong. That museum is good for education because while we saw the miniature of human body we would get explanations as well from the keepers there, such as the function of nose, ears, tongue and etcetera.  At 4 pm we continued to Museum Angkut and we were really surprised because the environment looks like the real in abroad. There are France, Mexico , America , England and so on. That is really a good place, not only for adding knowledge but also for hunting pictures.

Reorientation
Because we got through visiting those places so at 7 pm we decided to go home and Alhamdulillah we could back home safely.
